Gospel Fluency

We all have areas of unbelief in our life. Learning to speak the Gospel fluently is both an inward and outward pursuit. Through eight weeks, immerse your mind, heart, soul, and life in the Gospel and discover what God is saying to you.

What Can I Expect?

Gospel Fluency is an eight-week course taken in a cohort with others who are walking the same journey. Each week, there are three readings and reflections to help draw you deeper into understanding and practicing speaking the Gospel.

Once a week, you will gather with your cohort for food, discussion, and a chance to unpack what you learned that week in a safe environment. The gathering is all about practicing what you learned that week.

You’re invited to take this journey wherever you happen to be on the faith journey: a ‘seasoned christian’, or someone discovering Jesus for the first time. There is truth here for you.

What Will I Learn?

The Gospel Fluency cohort will take you through some basics of what it means to follow Jesus and understand what he taught his apprentices. Each week is focused in on the Gospel, but applies this simple message to new aspects of our lives. Below is a summary of each week.

1: Introductions

Get acquainted with your cohort and begin by sharing some of your life story with others. This is a chance to get comfortable, learning more about others, and discovering what makes us all who we are today.

2: Gospel Fluency

Discover what the concept of Gospel Fluency is all about: learning to speak a new language in community. We explore the ideas of unbelief, speaking the truth in love, and barriers that keep us from entering into real community with others.

3: The Gospel

What is the ‘Gospel’ that churches talk about? What makes it such good news? More importantly, how does it apply to me and my world? We’ll practice applying the Gospel to our stories and doubts.

4 & 5: The Gospel in Me

We all have wounds and doubts that hold us back from being truly accepted. These two weeks dig deep into our hearts and souls inviting us to explore how God invites us into a new story where we can be truly seen and accepted.

6 & 7: The Gospel With Us

How does the Gospel transform our everyday lives? These weeks are about connecting the Gospel to our daily life and experiences, seeing how Jesus reframes our entire human experience.

8 & 9: The Gospel to Others

The Christian church has not done a great job of showing love to others throughout history. These weeks are about following the way of Jesus and growing in our own skills to love and live the way he did.

Is it for me?

Gospel Fluency is relevant to new and mature believers of Jesus, who want to deepen their understanding and application of the Gospel. If you’ve ever struggled to connect the Gospel to your everyday life and experience, then these cohorts are absolutely for you.

Wherever you are on your journey of following Jesus, curious or convinced, there is space for you in a cohort to engage with the teachings of Jesus and discover how his life can transform every aspect of your life.

Our next cohort begins on Saturday, April 6th.
