Advent 2023 – Joy
Looking for a smaller, more intimate expression of the family of God? Want to experience what it means to live in community with others in an authentic, relational sort of way? We’d love for you to join our regular gathering on Sunday. You’ll find a welcoming, open group of people who love God, and want you to belong.
The gathering often looks like this: at 3PM, people begin to show up, make tea, get settled in, catch up on their weeks. Around 3:30, we sit in the living room to catch up together, exploring how we saw God working in our everyday lives. Around 4 PM, we read through the Bible together, walking through some simple questions that lead us deeper. At 5PM, we sit down around the dinner table for dinner, prayer, and more connection. Everything wraps up around 6PM.
You don’t need to have any knowledge of the Bible. You don’t need to have your beliefs sorted out, or even agree with everything that is being said. All it takes is a longing for community, and willingness to be honest and open about where you are, and to come.
This week, we continue walking through the Advent (Christmas) season, around the theme of Joy.
